Week 4 research

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spacecraft
I used this link to look into what exactly a spaceship was. looking at the design and the insides to get some inspiration for the drawings.

https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Witch
I used this to look into detail of witch's and how they look, the history behind them so I could get a very detailed look into their change through the years.

Week 4 Rules: Shapeship Witch

1. The witch must have a wart somewhere on it's body.
Why?
General imagery of witches either sees them amazingly hot women who have zero flaws or ugly old crones with no redeeming qualities what so ever
2.The witch must wear a headwear of some kind.
Why?
Witches in the fantasy idea have black pointed hat with a large rim on them to give them a bit more style. I thought about using this but in every image it would not work so if they have at least one item on their head it would seem more natural.
3.The witch must appear human.
Why?
Considering they're are on a spaceship it doesn't say that the spaceship isn't a human one so I don't exactly have to draw human witches but I thought if I did human ones it would be easier to draw.

Fairy Tale Leader Research

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy_tale
I used this to define what a fairy tale was from what I didn't already know from books.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leadership
I used this link to search up what it meant to be a leader from what I didn't already know from video games

Top 3 for Week 3: Fairy Tale Leader

Week 3 rules

1. The character must have a weapon.
Why? Most fairy-tale characters carry some form of sword or wand in the more thrilling action fairy-tales such as peter pan and the black cauldron but if they could make it work then using any weapon should work as well

2. They must have an accersorie.
Why? This is to provide some character to them, giving them a cape or a flower in their hair shows a bit more of what kind of person they are.

3. They must have some type of animal part of their body.
Why? Fairytale creatures are similar to mythical ones so I thought I'd spread a little mythical asspect in such as adding a centaur or a toad man. As long as they aren't fully human or fully animal it's fine.

Horror Shopkeeper Research

Research

Describing on how horror in films works with separate rules, comparing horror to comedy in the sense that if set up badly then it doesn’t work at all.

Stating about how horror works in books, such as with imagining us in the situation that they were in, by putting in this situation is makes us feel the fear that the character would feel in that situation.

Both links describe the themes I’m using for these pieces of concept art.

This link describes exactly what horror works towards, to create fear and phobias. To take hold of you and shake you in a roller coaster of emotions till you scream out.

This is where I found out about most of the phobias I will be using for my concept art.

I also used my classmates, asking around for some of their biggest fears so that I could have some inspiration.
